Understanding traditional values and the importance of hometown service has made Citizens National Bank a community leader and good neighbor for over a century. Citizens National Bank looks forward to continuing its outstanding reputation in the Ross and Fayette County communities and surrounding areas as we move into our second century of service.
Through the generations, Citizens National Bank has helped small businesses open their doors, provided the means for dedicated farmers to produce and sell crops, and supported families who were buying or building their first home. Meanwhile, it has assisted even the youngest of its customers with smart options to save pennies that help dreams come true. Customers of all ages have grown up with the comfort of knowing that their bank teller or loan officer is a neighbor who cares about their success.
The bank, organized in November 1900, opened on North Paint Street in January 1901 where it remained until 1959. Now Citizens National Bank serves customers from five locations: our Main Street Branch, Western Avenue Branch, Bridge Street Branch, Frankfort Branch and the Fayette Banking Center.
On March 31, 1998, in order to provide greater flexibility for growth and diversification to its customers, Citizens National Bank proudly announced a new and stronger reorganization, First Capital Bancshares, Inc., a one-bank holding company.
